SwedishAmerican to Hold Caring Canines Therapy Dog Summer Auditions

Are you certified as a therapy dog team? If not, are you willing to pursue it? Would you enjoy visiting patients and staff at SwedishAmerican facilities? If you responded “yes” to these questions, you should consider having your dog become a SwedishAmerican Caring Canine.

SwedishAmerican will be holding auditions for membership on the Caring Canines therapy dog team on Thursday, June 1; Thursday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 20 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM in the conference rooms at SwedishAmerican Hospital, 1401 E. State Street (enter through the Charles Street entrance). Pre-registration is mandatory.

In addition to registration with a national therapy dog organization, SwedishAmerican has additional requirements that must be successfully completed before joining the Caring Canines team. Please contact Claudia Aschbrenner at caschbrenner@swedishamerican.org or (779) 696-2166 to learn more and to register.
