SWEDISHAMERICAN NAMED TO “150 TOP PLACES TO WORK IN HEALTHCARE” LIST FOR FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

SwedishAmerican has been named to the “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare” list from the national industry magazine, Becker’s Healthcare. This is the fifth consecutive year SwedishAmerican has been recognized.

The national list highlights hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement and professional growth. Becker’s Healthcare developed the list based on nominations and editorial research.

“SwedishAmerican is honored once again to be recognized by Becker’s Healthcare and included in this prestigious ranking,” said SwedishAmerican Vice President of Human Resources Jerry Guinane. “To make this list for a fifth straight year is a reflection of our continued commitment to engage our associates and embrace diversity and professional development. We’re very proud of the work culture here, and I want to thank our extremely talented team of associates who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare to our patients and caring for our community.”

The organizations featured on the list offer benefits and opportunities for employees to build successful careers above and beyond the average healthcare provider or company. In addition, the organizations encourage professional development and promote leadership from within. Many members on the list also offer unique wellness and personal benefits to ensure employees strike a positive work/life balance as well as employee recognition programs to highlight their accomplishments.

Among the benefits that SwedishAmerican associates receive are:

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Generous tuition reimbursement
  • A flexible, balanced work environment
  • On-site child care
  • Onsite massages
  • Concierge service
  • Recognition and reward programs
  • Supportive culture and family atmosphere

The Becker’s Healthcare recognition follows several other honors that recognize SwedishAmerican as an employer of choice, including “Gold Award of Well Workplace USA” from the Wellness Councils of America, “Illinois Healthy Worksite Gold Level” from the Illinois Department of Public Health, and “Platinum Level Fit-Friendly Worksite” by the American Heart Association.
