Gray Brings Over 13 Years Minor League Experience To Snappers
BELOIT, WI – The Beloit Snappers have named Jeff Gray as the team’s new General Manager, an announcement made this morning by Snappers President Dennis Conerton.
Gray comes to Beloit from the Swope Park Rangers of the United States Soccer League, where he served as the Director of Business Operations for the 2017 season.
“We are pleased to welcome Jeff to the Stateline Area and to the Midwest League”, said Conerton. “He is not only passionate about the game of baseball itself, but also has successful experience working in a grass roots Minor League Baseball Community in tandem with its Major League Affiliate. His solid foundation in this business should help him hit the road running here in Beloit.”
No stranger to baseball, beginning as a batboy in Auburn, New Yok at the age of 11, the New York native previously served as the General Manager for the Bluefield Blue Jays from 2012-2016. Gray spent a total of 13 years in the Toronto Blue Jays organization as he worked at the clubs Minor League training complex in Dunedin, Florida from 2010-2012. During his transition from Dunedin to Bluefield, Gray served as the Associate General Manager for the 2012 U.S. Military All-Star baseball team.
Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Business from Saint Leo University in Florida and an associate’s degree from Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY.
Prior to attending Saint Leo University, Gray worked for the Auburn Doubledays of the New York-Penn League from 2004-2010.
“I am looking forward to working for a very well-known franchise in a great league,” Gray said. “The Snappers organization has great potential in carrying on the past, but I also look forward to the growth of the city of Beloit and the surrounding area to make a better fan experience.”
Gray comes to the Snappers after previous General Manager Seth Flolid resigned to pursue opportunities in the Minneapolis area.
