October 19-23rd was National Business Women’s Week. The Women at Work Committee wanted to come up with a creative, and COVID friendly, way to celebrate some of the amazing local business women. The decision was to put together 5 baskets for 5 women, one each day of the week, and deliver them while also recognizing them on social media. Spreading a little happy around the community is always a great thing.
The committee is made up of Chair Angi Kolthoff, Katie Kelly, Lea Evers, Branda LaBuy, Cristina Cimino, and Kelly Maier. Each member requested donations from local businesses to fill the baskets and the generosity was much greater than they ever thought. In the end, the baskets were valued at over $1,200!
They opened nominations and the community answered by pouring love out for so many women that it made selecting 5 difficult for the committee. The honorees were:
