When Kaney Aerospace acquired a company twice its size, the benefits challenges were substantial. Ramping up quickly, Laurie S. Miller, MBA, president of 2HB HR & Benefits Solutions, found a far less expensive benefits program that did not sacrifice coverage levels or provider networks, implemented a free on-line employee enrollment platform and communicated the new program to employees.

Dawn Johnson, HR Manager at Kaney was one of two local managers quoted in this year’s National Risk and Insurance Magazine Power Broker Award honoring Laurie Miller. This is the fourth-time Miller’s work has been recognized nationally.

Deb Baggs, Controller at Arachnid said, “It made us sleep a lot better once we knew that the coverage was in place,” after Miller reviewed their insurance programs and concluded that no actual stoploss was in place. Moving quickly, Miller obtained stoploss as soon as possible to protect the client.
