HENDRICKS FAMILY FOUNDATION JOINS THE PACKARD FAMILY TO HELP FUND BELOIT HEALTH SYSTEM’S FAMILY CARE CENTER RENOVATIONS

The Hendricks Family has made a most generous contribution of $1,000,000 to support the future Packard Family Care Center at Beloit Memorial Hospital (BHS). This gift is in addition to the Packard Family donation of $1,000,000. The renovations estimated at $6,500,000 is the first comprehensive renovation to the Family Care Center since the hospital was built 50 years ago.

“We’re excited to join the Packard’s in this important project for our community. The renovated facility will help recruit further talented physicians to Beloit Health System, and also enhance family care and comfort for our growing families in Beloit,” commented Diane Hendricks, President and Chairman of the Board, Hendricks Family Foundation.

Special Family Care Center features include that every labor, post-partum and pediatric room will receive a new ADA compliant bathroom with a large, spacious shower that will improve patient safety and comfort. The post-partum and pediatric rooms will be renovated with additional space for family and visitors to meet and spend quality time with mother and child. A larger patient and staff education room will be added, utilizing the sun porch space. This area will hold birthing classes, breastfeeding classes, and sibling classes for patients and community members. Additionally, it will serve as an area for staff certification programs, including the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Another quiet room will improve family privacy. The overall department will benefit from supplies and emergency equipment made easier to access for nurses serving in labor rooms and in the nursery.

“These upgrades help support our commitment of excellence. This project is another way we can provide the best care for our expectant mothers, babies and families. In renovating the Family Care Center, we are not only investing in technology and state of the art accommodations, but most importantly, the comfort and quality care for each individual patient we serve,” shared Tim McKevett, President and CEO.
