First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce that Hassan Jamal has joined the bank as the Information Security Officer.

In this role, Hassan is responsible for developing and implementing an information security and information technology (IT) risk management program and will assist with overall business technology planning. He will work with FNBT’s business units to assess risk, enhance framework, and facilitate risk management processes. In addition, Hassan will work with committees of related disciplines to ensure policies and standards consistency across all technology projects, systems and services.

Hassan is in the process of earning his MBA in Information Security from Concordia University and is certified in IBM Websphere V7 System Administration. He has been an information security and IT audit professional for more than seven years, and is adept at risk analysis, security program development and audit remediation. Hassan has led IT audit and Infosec programs for prominent firms such as HSBC bank, Kohl’s, Northwestern Mutual and KPMG.

Hassan spends his free time as a volunteer for American SCORES. America SCORES empowers students in under-served communities using soccer, writing, creative expression, and service-learning.
