FNBT Announces Promotions & Additions to Staff

Beloit, WI, February 7, 2020 – First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce three officer promotions and an addition to the FNBT family. Jessica Hernandez has been promoted to Vice President and Branch Manager; Laura Klockner has been promoted to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer; Victoria Ulman has been promoted to Loan Operations Manager and Officer; and Danielle Mirabal has joined the FNBT family as Loan Operations Manager and Officer.

Jessica HernandezJessica Hernandez joined FNBT in 2015. She started at the Beloit-Madison Road branch as the Branch Manager and transferred to the Beloit-Grand Avenue office in 2017. In 2019 she moved to the Beloit-Inman Parkway branch where she currently manages the branch team and Rock County floating banker team. As Vice President and Branch Manager, she will oversee branch sales, service and operational goals and provide Sound Advice to individuals, businesses and organizations in the community. Hernandez graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has received several performance certificates, as well as Human Sigma 6 certification. Hernandez is the treasurer and secretary for the Downtown Beloit Association and received their Chairman’s Award in February 2019.  In addition, she volunteers for Beloit Meals on Wheels.

Laura KlocknerLaura Klockner has been promoted to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer. Klockner came to FNBT in 2010 as a teller supervisor of the bank’s Winnebago office. In 2014, she joined the accounting department and was quickly promoted to accountant and BSA administrator, and later assistant BSA Officer. Now, as BSA Officer, Klockner is responsible for investigating and reporting suspicious activity, reviewing transaction reports to ensure the bank complies with the bank secrecy act, and verifying customers to comply with the Federal Customer Identification Program (CIP). Klockner graduated from University of Wisconsin – Stout in 2008, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in retail merchandising and management. She volunteers with Beloit Meals on Wheels and is a member of the Northern Illinois Compliance Association.

Vicki Ulman Victoria Ulman started at FNBT in July of 2013 and now has more than 13 years of banking experience. She continues to grow professionally and develop her loan operations team by coaching and finding opportunities to strengthen their skills and create efficiencies. Ulman believes in empowering young professionals, so she was the leader of her daughter’s Girl Scouts Troop for many years. In her free time, she currently volunteers for Meals on Wheels and Noah’s Animal Sanctuary with her daughter. Ulman also enjoys camping, baking and spending quality time with her husband and three children.

Danielle Mirabal Danielle Mirabal has joined the FNBT family with 26 years of banking experience in loan processing, operations management, payroll, quality control, training, corporate communications, customer satisfaction, and leadership. She has experience in all aspects of mortgage banking from retail, wholesale, and correspondent. Mirabal holds an associate’s degree in Business from DeVry University and has completed courses in Encompass Administration HMDA. In addition, Mirabal has been certified in TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures (TRID). In her spare time, she is a 4H Leader in Boone County and coach for the Boone County Horse Bowl team. She owns three horses and two miniature horses that her daughters show at the fair.

In their roles as Loan Operations Managers and Officers, Mirabal and Ulman are responsible for quality control, compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), and mortgage servicing. They will focus on driving operational and servicing efficiency programs, in addition to developing day-to-day operations programs and procedures. They also lead teams and assist in accurate posting and monitoring of all department general ledger accounts, customer loans accounts, and payment accuracy to ensure adherence to all government and corporate guidelines and regulations.
