First National Bank and Trust Introduces New Fraud Prevention Team and Announces Changes to Deposit Operations Team

Beloit, WI, May 16, 2022 – First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce the following changes within the Deposit Operations department and the creation of a new Fraud Prevention team.

FNBT’s new Fraud Prevention team is responsible for investigating and determining required action to prevent fraudulent financial transactions to mitigate loss to the bank and its customers. The team researches suspect account activity and works with frontline teams and customers to validate suspicious activity and prevent losses. The team will be a central resource and point of contact for the entire bank on fraud issues as they arise.

Wanda Moucha is being promoted to Vice President Fraud Prevention Manager to lead the newly established Fraud Prevention team. She will guide a team of specialists to establish clear business practices ensuring regulatory and legal compliance for handling various types of fraud, review data for patterns and information to prevent fraud attempts, monitor and analyze information provided through fraud detection tools, systems and reports to mitigate potential risks to the bank and its customers. Moucha has nearly 45 years of bank experience, all with FNBT. She joined the bank while in high school through a Cooperative Education Program in partnership with Clinton High School in Clinton, Wisconsin. Throughout her career, she has held many positions with increasing responsibility at the bank. By providing Sound Advice, she strives to help customers with their financial needs to help them succeed financially. Moucha has earned the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation through the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) Electronic Payments Association.

Sean Gjestson is being promoted to Vice President, Deposit Operations Manager. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing work completed by FNBT’s Deposit Operations team and leading process improvement initiatives to provide consistent Sound Advice to the bank’s customers. Gjestson started his career at FNBT in 2008 as a Loan Operations Representative. Since then, he has held various positions including Loan Operations Systems Admin, Commercial Sales Admin, Credit Analyst, Operations Analyst, and most recently Card Services Manager. Gjestson earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 2007 and went on to earn a Master’s of Business Administration in 2014. His volunteer activities include the Rock County Humane Society and has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters for several years. He and his wife, Pam, live in Beloit, Wisconsin and keep busy with their son, Jack, daughter, Georgiana, and two dogs.
