First National Bank and Trust Announces Promotions

First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce the following promotions.

Photo of Anna ToyeAnna Toye has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Human Resources Director. In her position, she is responsible for all areas of human resources (HR) including compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, staffing, and payroll, as well as administration of the UltiPro HRIS system for the bank.

Toye joined FNBT in 2004 and earned the designation of SHRM-Certified Practitioner (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 2014. This competency-based certification within the HR industry demonstrates critical thinking, thorough knowledge of HR concepts and requirements, as well as tests for the behavioral competencies required to effectively apply knowledge in the modern workplace. Toye also holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification through the HR Certification Institute since 2007. Active in the community, Toye is on the board for the Stateline Boys and Girls Clubs. She is a graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and resides in South Beloit, Illinois with her husband Randy and three children, Riley, Brady and Luke.

Photo of Chelsea BallouChelsea Ballou has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Director of Digital Banking. In this newly created position, Ballou is responsible for identifying trends, data analysis, and competitive market information to guide and shape the bank’s digital banking strategy. FNBT’s Digital Banking scope includes non-face-to-face banking channels, such as digital/mobile banking, bill pay, telephone (customer support center), online account opening, and online applications.

Ballou graduated from Lewis University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Cardinal Stritch University in 2011. With nearly 15 years of experience in marketing, ten of which have been with FNBT, Ballou is a member of the ABA Marketing Network. She graduated from the American Bankers Association (ABA) School of Bank Marketing and Management in 2008, earning the Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation in 2015 through the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB), a subsidiary of the ABA.

In her personal time, Ballou volunteers as a board member for the Nutrition Health Associates (NHA) of Rock County, an organization dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle through education, nutrition and health services, and community resources. She is also a member of the Education Commission for Our Lady of the Assumption School in Beloit. Ballou lives with her husband, Pat, and four children, William, Audrey, John, and Ava, in Roscoe, Illinois.

Photo of Paula JordanPaula Jordan has been promoted to Assistant Trust Officer serving the bank’s Rock and Winnebago County markets. In this role, Jordan is responsible for all aspects of trust administration, as well as providing Sound Advice and developing relationships with clients and their families of the bank’s Wealth Management group. She will administer and manage trust accounts to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, while maintaining a knowledge of trust regulations to assist the FNBT customer family in financial planning, estate management, and wealth conservation.

Jordan joined FNBT’s Wealth Management team in 2008 and has worked as the Executive Assistant to the President and Chief Executive Officer. She holds an associate’s degree in science from Rock Valley College, and is a 2011 graduate of the Cannon Trust School through Cannon Financial Institute.

An active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Beloit, Wisconsin, Jordan recently completed a six-year commitment as member and chair of the Education Commission for Our Lady of the Assumption School. She is a past volunteer for Beloit Meals on Wheels. Born and raised in Beloit, Jordan now resides in South Beloit, Illinois with her teenage sons, Tyler and Mason. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, theatre, reading, and spending time with her family. She is based at FNBT’s branch located at 345 E Grand Ave in Beloit, WI, and will have regular business hours at the bank’s Rockton branch located at 300 E Main St in Rockton, IL.
