BBQ lovers, local cooks and chefs will be a part of a premier food event to support Beloit Regional Hospice and the Beloit Domestic Violence Survivor Center on Sunday, October 1 at The Rock on the River, 101 Maple Avenue, Beloit. Beloit Ribfest 2017, sponsored by Brian Mark Funeral Homes, The Beloit Daily News, Finley Buick GMC, The Rock, and a variety of other sponsors will be a family fun event starting at 11:30 am, until all the ribs are gone.
Admission is free, and attendees can sample four large rib samples of their choice plus sides for only $10! Don Collins and the Night Shift Band will provide live music throughout the festival. This Rock County band has an up-beat sound of “Jumpin’ Boogie-Woogie Blues” that makes folks want to dance.
“I have seen this event grow over the years into something spectacular. The ribs are not to be missed, and we are very proud to be able to use the proceeds to help our community,” said Brian G. Mark, an event organizer.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places by the panel of celebrity judges, and other prizes will awarded as well, including the coveted People’s Choice Prize! All proceeds will benefit Beloit Regional Hospice and the Beloit Domestic Violence Survivor Center.
