Beloit Health System Earns 2018 United Way “Live United” Award

Beloit Health System has received the 2018 United Way Blackhawk Region “Live United” Award.  This prestigious award is given to an organization that displays exceptional support for the United Way through its workforce campaign and volunteer support.

“I was humbled, proud and excited to accept this award on behalf of our employees, physicians and volunteers.  They give so much of themselves each day to our patients, families and our greater community.  It is because of their hard work, dedication and commitment to caring that we received this award,” says Tim McKevett, Beloit Health System President and CEO.

In addition to the “Live United” Award, Beloit Health System was also one of only five organizations in the Stateline area to achieve the United Way’s “Cornerstone Status” by raising over $100,000. Beloit Health System employees also volunteer their time and talents in the community to support United Way its many partner agencies.

“I can’t overstate the generosity of our employees, physicians and volunteers. Their support has enabled the Health System to reach new goals,” added McKevett.  “Not only did they exceed expectations in supporting the United Way, but their efforts were instrumental in enabling us to make the Hendricks Family Heart Hospital, the area’s premier cardiac center of excellence, a reality for our community.”

The 2018 United Way Campaign at Beloit Health System was led by employee captains, Regina Dunkin, Ashley Braswell, Cinthia Brazil, Melissa Leonard, and Heather VanGalder.

The awards were presented during the annual United Way Blackhawk Region Awards breakfast that honors local companies for their support of United Way.
