The Ambassadors of the Stateline Chamber are still accepting either personal or corporate donations to put towards a third scholarship for local high school seniors. Thank you to the individuals who have already committed to this worthy venture.

A note from the Ambassadors

The Roscoe Area Chamber of Commerce had offered academic scholarships to local students from many years. This area is full of bright, intelligent and inspiring young people that impact our region in a big way. These scholarships helped highlight these individuals and assisted with the cost of continuing education.

Recently, the Stateline Board of Directors had concerns this program could not continue due to a lack of funding. Concerns of eliminating the program were discussed by the Ambassadors at our recent luncheon and we decided to take the lead and continue the scholarship project for this year.

We believe it has been beneficial to the many students who have received the scholarships in the past. Previous recipients have shown leadership and strong academic goals. Further, it is an important way the Chamber is able to give back to our Community.

Last minute fundraising efforts at the RORO Expo raised enough money for one $500 scholarship! We are now looking for other avenues to consider helping fund this project. In years past we have been able to provide 2-3 scholarships to well deserving students and would love to continue that tradition.

Due to the fact that we are taking over this endeavor late in the year, we are asking for assistance from all Chamber Members. Your personal or corporate donation of any amount would go a long way to provide funds for the scholarships to be given to select admirable students in May, 2016.
