Advia Foundation to donate $100 to Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity for every mortgage application received April 1 – June 30 in the area
Janesville, WI–The Advia Foundation is working to provide safe, affordable housing in the communities it serves through a new campaign tied to its mortgage services that runs April 1 – June 30. During this three-month period, the Foundation is pledging to donate $100 to the Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, IL, for every new mortgage application that Advia Credit Union receives in the area.
“Families in need of affordable housing live everywhere,” says Julie Birman, a member of the Advia Foundation Board of Directors. “At Advia we are committed to advancing lives and we believe a safe, healthy and affordable place to live helps build stronger families by reducing stress and building self-reliance and confidence for everyone living in the home.”
Advia Credit Union has 26 branches in Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois and will donate to Habitat organizations in each of its regions. Because Spring is typically a popular month for new home sales, the Foundation is estimating the total donation to be up to $25,000 which will be distributed to Habitat organizations in Southwest Michigan, Eastern Michigan, South Central Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
In addition, Advia staff will be swinging hammers and pouring driveways as they support the cause by volunteering at Habitat build sites in all the credit union regions. The Credit union encourages staff volunteerism by paying them to take up to 24 hours away from work each year to volunteer with a charity of their choosing.
