The Stateline Chamber has officially announced the finalists for The Stateline Honors, its newly launched awards program designed to recognize excellence across the Stateline region without the click-farming and popularity contests common in other community award systems.
After an open public nomination period throughout December, finalists have been selected across 24 categories spanning leadership, community service, general business, industry excellence, nonprofits, and local events. Public voting will open January 14, and run through January 28.
A complete list of finalists can be seen by downloading this PDF.
“This phase is where the community gets its voice,” said Ryan Rydell, Vice President of the Stateline Chamber. “But we’ve built the system intentionally so that recognition goes to those who deserve it, not those who can generate the most repeat clicks.”
How Voting Works
Public voting for The Stateline Honors is designed to prioritize fairness, transparency, and credibility:
- One vote per category per person
- Voting restricted to the Stateline region
No daily or repeat voting - No advertising purchases or paid advantages
This approach ensures winners are selected based on broad community support rather than ballot-stuffing or popularity-driven campaigns.
What Finalists Receive
All finalists will receive an official Stateline Honors Finalist Certificate, commemorating their achievement and recognition by the community. One winner per category will receive The Stately, a custom-designed, high-quality glass award created exclusively for The Stateline Honors.
In addition, one nominee will be selected internally by the Chamber to receive the program’s highest recognition:
The Stately Summit Award, honoring exceptional overall impact, leadership, and contribution to the Stateline region.
A New Standard for Community Awards
The Stateline Honors was created to replace previous Chamber award formats and establish a standalone, locally owned awards brand that reflects the growth, diversity, and integrity of the Stateline business and nonprofit community.
“We’re not part of a national awards program, and we’re not selling ads,” said Rydell. “You can’t buy your way into winning, and you can’t click your way into it either. This is about recognizing real impact in our community.”
