Stateline Chamber Has New Location for First Joint Golf Play Day

The newly formed Stateline Chamber of Commerce announces new location for the 2016 Golf Play Day

Our region is known for its great golf courses. Well, it is Golf Play Day season, and the Stateline Chamber of Commerce has announced a change to their event for 2016. In 2015, the Roscoe & Rockton Chambers were still operating separately, and held their Play Days in Belvidere & Rockton, respectively. When the Chambers merged late 2015, they knew that something had to give.

The first ever Stateline Chamber Golf Play Day will be held at beautiful Ledges Golf Course in Roscoe, IL. Commenting on the move, Event Chairman, Drew Brauer, says:

We are thrilled to be able to bring it back “home” to the Ledges and support the Stateline area with this event.  While our previous partners have been excellent hosts, the Ledges is a beautiful course right here in Roscoe that will be a great location for the event.

Golf Play Days are a traditional form of fundraising for non-profits. However, the Chamber also uses it as a social event, acting as a conduit to build their network and drive professional connections that result in long term regional growth.

With 2 separate events consolidating into one, promotors anticipate the Play Day will be sold out to capacity quickly. There is currently still room for golfers and sponsors, but the Chamber encourages interested parties to act fast.

With hundreds of people involved, this will be an excellent opportunity for businesses to network and create lasting connections, in addition to having a great day on the golf course, eat lots of great food, and win fun prizes. It’s shaping up to be the best event we’ve ever had. – Drew Brauer
