The first Main Street Tour small business shopping event had a goal to bring more business to local shops in Roscoe, Rockton and South Beloit.  Over 28 businesses participated in the one-day event held on July 14th that encouraged area residents to stroll, shop, and dine in these downtown areas. Many participating businesses featured store wide sales and promotions throughout the day.  

The Stateline Chamber provided all the participating businesses with posters and other promotional materials, and also created a giveaway for all patrons.  When customers made a purchase at any of the participating businesses they were given the opportunity to be entered into a random drawing for the Stateline Chamber to cover the cost of their purchase up to $100.  Ten winners were drawn from over 300 entries collected by local businesses.

The Stateline Chamber looks forward to making the Main Street Tour an annual event that will continue to bring shoppers to the Stateline area for years to come.
