Ground was broken this week for the new $15.3 million surgery center expansion at Beloit Health System’s NorthPointe Health and Wellness campus on Rockton Road in Roscoe, Ill.
The addition will add 18,772 sq. ft. on the first floor and shell space on the second floor of 12,157 square feet. The new space will include two operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 14 pre and post-surgery patient care rooms. The new surgery center, expected to be complete in early 2017, will create 24 full-time equivalent jobs to staff the new facility.
NorthPointe, located on 122 acres of rolling prairie near the corners of Rockton and Willowbrook Roads in Roscoe, Ill, is the first comprehensive health campus of its kind. NorthPointe was specifically designed to meet the rapidly growing healthcare needs of individuals and families in the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin area.
During its more than eight years of operation, NorthPointe has added needed services and increased the number of patients seeking care. Currently, NorthPointe Clinic has more than 30 physicians on staff providing primary and specialty care.
The center’s board certified emergency medicine physicians provide after-hours care from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily in Immediate Care. In addition, NorthPointe also offers comprehensive diagnostic medical imaging.
NorthPointe Wellness is the only medically integrated health and fitness center in the area with more than 100 pieces of state-of-the-art fitness equipment, a seven-lap pool, the most group exercise classes in the area, and more.
